A place to be OneSelf

Meaning of Sai BHang

The word Saibhang (ਸੈਭੰ), drawn from the Mool Mantra of Guru Nanak, means “to be OneSelf”. “Sai” means self, and “bhang” means being, existence.

It describes that which is whole within itself—complete, luminous, and independent of time, space and causation. Saibhang is both a truth and a practice: to remember that our essence is whole and connected, to live from that wholeness, and to support others in doing the same.

Our Core Values

Oneness
All life is connected. The whole is in every part, and the part is in the whole.

Connection
We heal by witnessing, sharing, listening to, and supporting one another.

Sacred Earth
The Earth is our home, provider and teacher. We are grateful for its sustenance and respect its limits.

Empowerment
Each person carries their own wisdom and capacity to choose how to lead their life. We bow to the teacher within.

Spiritual Depth without Dogma
We honour our roots in Guru Nanak’s teachings while welcoming all backgrounds and beliefs.

Sustainability
We consider the impact of our choices on present and future generations—both human and non-human, along with the health of the soil, water and air.
